Description Yuta SATOH 2012-09-20 14:21:26 UTC
x11-base/xorg-server-1.11.4-r1 works. However, later versions Segmentation fault occurs.

I found similar cases in the Debian bug tracker.
Details please see URL.

Reproducible: Always

I have confirmed that the problem has been fixed by applying this patch to x11-libs/libpciaccess-0.13.1 .

Package list of test environment

x11-base/xorg-server-1.13.0

I was a little mistake the first line.

Combination of x11-base/xorg-server-1.11.4-r1 and x11-drivers/xf86-video-vesa-2.3.0 works.

Thank you for your comment.

I already tried the patch at the time of reporting.
And I confirmed that X start with a combination of the latest xorg-server and vesa driver.

I don't have to report upstream.
The patch was written by the Debian developer.
I'm not the author of the patch.

Do I report to upstream and is it no problems ?

debian people probably have reported it, so it was more to have a link to it
