happened again with: mesa-9_pre20120831 mesa-9999 So either it is kernel 3.5.x related or was introduced at an earlier mesa commit. I think I've now accumulated enough uptime in 3.4.10 to tell that the error is not present there, so back to vanilla-sources-3.5.3. Now, I've rebuilt xf86-video-intel with a modified ebuild to exclude UXA (and include _only_ SNA) support and haven't seen the oops for several hours. Previously, unknowingly, UXA was used instead, so that might be related. After switching to SNA more than a week ago there were no such errors anymore. Update: Seems the error is here to stay. Still happens after packages were updated to mesa-9.0.3, xf86-video-intel-2.21.x, and through all the kernel versions until 3.8.1 currently. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53385#c31 Please see above URL. Could you try newer versions and report back there to help them test possible fixes to this problem? Good luck and thank you in advance. |
