The problem comes from compiling the "normally" unused bundled shapelib library. To avoid that sci-libs/shapelib is requested in DEPEND. But the attached build log shows: checking shapefil.h usability... no checking shapefil.h presence... no checking for shapefil.h... no checking libshp/shapefil.h usability... no checking libshp/shapefil.h presence... no checking for libshp/shapefil.h... no configure: WARNING: **************************************************************** configure: WARNING: Your system does not have shapelib installed. Using an internal configure: WARNING: version. This may lead to a larger filesize for the executable. configure: WARNING: Install shapelib on your system to eliminate this warning. configure: WARNING: **************************************************************** Just checked here that the autoconf tests for shapelib succeeds for stable and unstable versions of sci-libs/shapelib. So can you please recheck if shapelib is installed correctly when you get the error for xastir. Don't keep this one to stable the version. It seems like shapelib got broken on the tinderbox and I don't know why, another package refused to build due to that. It would be nice if it wouldn't silently build the bundled code when shapelib is missing, but bug #432920 is more urgent. (In reply to comment #2) > Don't keep this one to stable the version. Ok. Will request stabilization now and see to fix the silent build problem later. (In reply to comment #3) > (In reply to comment #2) > > Don't keep this one to stable the version. Done. + 27 Aug 2012; Thomas Beierlein <tomjbe@gentoo.org> xastir-2.0.0-r2.ebuild, + +files/xastir-2.0.0-no-builtin-shapelib.diff: + Do not use builtin shapelib if sci-libs/shapelib is not installed. Build + without shapelib support instead. (bug #430704). Thanks Diego. + |
