Okay, I hit this wile doing stabilization testing for arm.  Currently there is no python3 stable on arm and we really need it, bug #427548.  All the tests pass but this one.  I did the exact same emerge on x86 (same compile version, binutils version etc) and it worked there.  Not sure why CXXFLAGS key is not found.

Same resulte with gcc-4.7.1.
