The gentoo bootsplash images were compressed using a quite low JPG Quality settings, and as results have lots of compression artifacts on them.
How about providing an additional "gentoo-highquality" version of those splash images, for those of us who don't care about a few more KB of wasted memory?

The higher quality pictures can be found at http://dev.gentoo.org/~spock/stuff/bootsplash/gentoo-highquality.tar.bz2
I don't want to include them in the main bootsplash tarball as this would increase its size by more than 50%. I've also added a note about the gentoo-highquality theme in pkg_postinst of bootsplash-0.6-r10 so that the users can learn about its existence.
