*** Bug 482676 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Cannot reproduce :/ Can you explain what are the flags that are not being respected, and how they are being detected? (In reply to Alexandre Rostovtsev from comment #2) > Cannot reproduce :/ > > Can you explain what are the flags that are not being respected, and how > they are being detected? You need to add "-frecord-gcc-switches" to your *FLAGS. Then portage will print a QA warning in case you flags aren't respected. I've added -frecord-gcc-switches to my CFLAGS and CXXFLAGS, rebuilt cairo-1.12.16-r3, and didn't get any QA warnings. Seems to be fixed, I suppose. Please reopen if you see this issue again, * Messages for package x11-libs/cairo-1.12.16-r3: * QA Notice: Files built without respecting CFLAGS have been detected * Please include the following list of files in your report: * /usr/lib64/cairo/cairo-sphinx.so.0.0.0 * /usr/lib64/cairo/cairo-fdr.so.0.0.0 * /usr/lib64/cairo/libcairo-trace.so.0.0.0 * /usr/lib64/libcairo-script-interpreter.so.2.11200.16 * /usr/lib64/libcairo-gobject.so.2.11200.16 * /usr/lib32/cairo/cairo-sphinx.so.0.0.0 * /usr/lib32/cairo/cairo-fdr.so.0.0.0 * /usr/lib32/cairo/libcairo-trace.so.0.0.0 * /usr/lib32/libcairo-script-interpreter.so.2.11200.16 * /usr/lib32/libcairo-gobject.so.2.11200.16 >>> Auto-cleaning packages... >>> No outdated packages were found on your system. Please see Bug #559258 "acroread Segmentation fault within /usr/lib32/libpangocairo-1.0.so.0". I have further backtraced Bug #559258 to likely x11-libs/cairo-1.14.2 breaks when compiling with"-Ofast" CFLAG. It also breaks with "-D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=1" add to CFLAGS to reproduce ERROR: compile ERROR: x11-libs/cairo-1.14.2::gentoo failed (compile phase): (In reply to Alexandre Rostovtsev from comment #4) > I've added -frecord-gcc-switches to my CFLAGS and CXXFLAGS, rebuilt > cairo-1.12.16-r3, and didn't get any QA warnings. Seems to be fixed, I > suppose. Please reopen if you see this issue again, I did the same (but with cairo-1.14.6), and I cannot reproduce either. Still can't reproduce. Looks good here as well as of October 2018, compiled cairo & seamonkey, no apparent problems with bugs/segfaults. =x11-libs/cairo-1.14.12 =www-client/seamonkey-2.35 |
