build.log is needed, thanks (In reply to comment #1) > build.log is needed, thanks i don't have it anymore, it did not indicate missing libSM but after installing it the package could be compiled without problems Created attachment 320376 [details]
build.log showing the missing lib error
Same error here. In line 496 & 497 the error appears:
CCLD libgstxvimagesink.la
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.6.3/../../../../x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot find -lSM
This is still valid as of today. x11-libs/libSM is a dependency of media-plugins/gst-plugins-xvideo, but is not mentioned as such inside the ebuild. Any reason this hasn't been closed? This seems like a pretty obvious flaw. Doing a fresh install and emerging kde-meta fails on this. I've got a script that will bootstrap from stage3 on EC2 that will consistently reproduce this error if necessary. Confirmed working on x86 and amd64 (EC2 kde-meta build). This was fixed in gst-plugins-xvideo-0.10.35-r1 |
