Expected Results:  
I would have either expected a successful emerge, or a non-need to emerge this
package at all (since my original intent was to 'emerge --emptytree world'
when I ran into this).

Oops, I think I goofed, although I'm not sure how this affects the bug.  I don't have a Voodoo card and therefore shouldn't have 3dfx set in my USEFLAGS.

Duh!

However, those that do have Voodoo card might still benefit.  I don't know.

This should be fixed since Mar 7.  Please resync and try it again.
