build.log
I'm a bit reluctant to add the usual emake -j1 workaround to the ebuild, because a) this affects only a previous slot and b) there were never any problems reported with less aggressive parallelisation flags (-j16 is known to work). However, I would gladly accept a patch that fixes the issue in Emacs' build system. Is this still an issue with Emacs 24.3? (In reply to Ulrich Müller from comment #3) > Is this still an issue with Emacs 24.3? No answer. Closing. Sorry for the delay - your question in May has slipped past me. I've just rebuilt app-editors/emacs-24.3-r2 five times on the originally affected machine (otherwise idle, cache hot). I can no longer reproduce the issue. So let's assume it is gone; and if it still isn't by any chance this should be plenty of documentation that MAKEOPTS="-j1" is a viable workaround. ;-) |
