sorry for the last attachment. it's a bziped file from a text/plain one. I found some troubles to send it in the simple text/plain format because it seems long too much. same behaviour for sys-kernel/vanilla-sources-3.4.4 . sorry for logs in italian language. anyway, the following are the same outputs in english, for parted, fdisk and sfdisk: s939 ~ # LANGUAGE="CC" parted /dev/sdd print Warning: Could not determine physical sector size for /dev/sdd. Using the logical sector size (512). Error: /dev/sdd: unrecognised disk label Model: Verbatim (scsi) Disk /dev/sdd: -144115188075855392,00B Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/512B Partition Table: unknown Disk Flags: s939 ~ # LANGUAGE="CC" fdisk -l /dev/sdd s939 ~ # LANGUAGE="CC" sfdisk -l /dev/sdd Disk /dev/sdd: 2225167883115 cylinders, 255 heads, 63 sectors/track lseek: Invalid argument sfdisk: seek error on /dev/sdd - cannot seek to 0 sfdisk: /dev/sdd: unrecognized partition table type sfdisk: No partitions found this issue does not affects sys-kernel/gentoo-sources-3.4.5. Ok, great. Closing as reported that this is fixed in 3.4.5. |
