I realized, that after a world update, I cannot mount cifs shares anymore.

The problem was discussed by another person already in the official gentoo forum:

There was also a reply:
There's a bug in 5.5 - it's already reported here and fixed upstream.

If I have a look at the gitweb of the projekt, the bugfix is this (IMHO):

Could we commit a 5.5-r1 to the portage tree, that will use that fix.

ATM I set -caps +caps-ng but this is IMHO only a workaround.
