Description Róbert Čerňanský 2012-07-03 19:38:59 UTC
Please do not _force_ users to pick between gtk and gtk3 USE flags for audacious and its plugins.

In general, I think the most common scenario is that a user enables gtk3 flag globally if he wants gtk+ 3 support. So it is common to have both flags enabled.

Ebuilds should provide reasonable defaults chosen by Gentoo developers (automatically prefer one of the flags). If the user for some reason does not agree with these defaults _then_ he _can_ change the use flag(s) for the particular ebuild.

Forcing users to choose is uneccessairly hurting the user experience with Gentoo maintenance.

Make our updates as smooth as possible and our package.use files as small as possible, please. :-)

-----------------------------------------------
!!! The ebuild selected to satisfy "media-sound/audacious" has unmet requirements.
- media-sound/audacious-3.2.2-r1::gentoo USE="gtk gtk3 (multilib) nls session -chardet"

  The following REQUIRED_USE flag constraints are unsatisfied:
    exactly-one-of ( gtk gtk3 )

 with 'exactly-one-of ( gtk gtk3 )' statement.
