Description Steven Wagner 2004-02-21 02:26:54 UTC
Currently no timeout is being passed to dhcpcd in the /etc/init.d/net.eth0 script. dhcpcd accepts a timeout with the -t flag. Lack of passing this flag seems to produce the current result of roughly a 60 second timeout, which is annoying considering most of the time dhcp is either available or not. I think a timeout of 5 or 10 seconds is much more reasonable.

Because I was making a suggestion to make gentoo a better distibution rather then only keeping my improvements to myself. So why are you marking it resolved ?
