I get the exact same problems when building freeradius-2.1.11 as described in Bug 397609 which has been fixed. 2.1.12 builds properly. Strangely on existing gentoo installs I had not problem building 2.1.11 but on this new install (installed yesterday). I had the problem. I can post my logs but it's the same issue as the bug mentioned so I'll save everyone the time. 2.1.11 also has potential vulnerabilities so as soon as 2.1.12 is stable we should perhaps mask 2.1.11

So request stabilisation of 2.1.12, then, or unmask 2.1.12 locally and enjoy.

That's what I did, and stabilization was already requested. This was submitted for the benifit of users and devs to say that it also affected earlier versions. Nothing else
