Description Nick Dimiduk (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-02-20 05:20:37 UTC
As above. Emerge works fine (once openmosix was disabled), but trying to launch the browser opens an alert window witht he above content -- no commandline output, and the process terminates.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. /etc/init.d/openmosix stop
2. emerge firefox
3. % firefox

Actual Results:
The alert window appeared, click "ok" and the process ends.

Expected Results:
Firefox should have launched

I appologize. This was easily solved be reading the release notes. All the same, as most people (whom I know) don't read release notes when issuing the command # emerge world, adding something to the output in the ebuild might help. Sorry for the confusion.

Nothing more to add.
