I think this is not g-cpan specific bug please fill bug report for upstream at https://rt.cpan.org/Public/Dist/Display.html?Name=Cv I filed also a bug at https://rt.cpan.org/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=78092. But there is also an gentoo problem. It seems me that this bug blocks 'g-cpan -u', at least 'g-cpan -u' stops with this the error emerging Cv-0.12. The only way to get rid of perl-gcpan/Cv, I found, was to do 'emerge -C Cv', 'rm -r /tmp/.cpan/sources/authors/id/Y/YU/YUTA', 'rm -r /root/.local/share/.cpan/build/Cv-0.12-*' and 'rm -r /var/lib/cpan/perl-gcpan/Cv/'. Is there an easier way to get rid of a perl-gcpan package? This command is enough rm -rf $GCPAN_OVERLAY/perl-gcpan/Cv maybe your here? rm -r /var/lib/cpan/perl-gcpan/Cv Thanks Sergiy, it would be really nice, if we could add this to g-cpan man page. Do you have the issue for latest g-cpan (0.16.6 / 9999) & Cv (0.29) still? (In reply to Sergiy Borodych from comment #5) > Do you have the issue for latest g-cpan (0.16.6 / 9999) & Cv (0.29) still? I do not have the original issue, but 'g-cpan -i Cv' still fails. See also bug 435304.
