Thanks for reporting. Actually =app-admin/inspircd-2.0.6_rc1 does not build with gcc-4.7. There is a fix for this: https://github.com/inspircd/inspircd/issues/65 Pretty busy now, but i'll apply the fix in the following days. Fix compile for gcc-4.7. Parallel make works for me. + 23 Jun 2012; Chema Alonso <nimiux@gentoo.org> inspircd-2.0.6_rc1.ebuild, + +files/inspircd-2.0.6_rc1-gcc-4.7.patch, metadata.xml: + Fix compile for gcc-4.7 wrt bug #421409. Add geoip use flag wrt bug #413747. + Update longdescription, maintainer info and use flags in metadata. + And as I failed originally, it is _not_ a gcc 4.7 failure, even with the patch I have the same result. "Parallel make works for me." how many cores your system have? Which parallel level are you using? Works fine here with a 6 core AMD_Phenom II X6 and MAKEOPTS="-j12" Anyway, I still think the problem is not in the parallel make. I guess VERBOSE is defined to "1" in your environment, causing the build to fail when calling make/calcdep.pl which calls make/unit-cc.pl causing the compile to fail at line 28. I've reproduced this failure in my box by issuing: VERBOSE="1" emerge inspircd Could you start with a clean environment or issue: VERBOSE="" emerge inspircd to check it that works? Cheers! net-irc/inspircd-2.0.8 has been stabilized for amd64 and x86. Any updates on this bug? Thanks. |
