KDE 4.8.4 is out for about a week and its just a bug-fix release.
But nothing is in portage, any blockers?

It's not just a bugfix release - it's a 'new patch level release' and it introduced quite a few bugs to figure out first.

Exactly. We just want to ride the storm for a few days, and see what it might let loose... Expect it in a few days.

Just to make clear, why I thought it would be a bugfix release:

So I thought it would be fast in portage, as 4.8.3 was in portage instantly ;)
