Description Scott Taylor (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-02-18 14:07:27 UTC
gimp-2.0_pre does not see gimp-print 5. News from the gimp-print site suggests
that it could be installed along with gimp-print 4.2... In its current state, it
keeps getting installed then rolled back due to the 4.2 depend in the gimp
ebuild.

New as of January 11, 2004! Gimp-Print 5.0.0-alpha1 is released. This is the
initial alpha release on the Gimp-Print 5.0 line. This offers major improvements
over 4.2, and may be installed concurrently with Gimp-Print 4.2 when CUPS is used.

it may be possible, but very difficult. gimp-print 4.2 and 5 share a lot of files and since it is alpha software please use gimp-print 4.2 to have printing support in gimp
