Created attachment 315547 [details, diff] Patch for kbuild building with gcc 4.7 This patch removes an improper attribute given to one of the functions in kbuild's internal copy of sed. The same issue occured with libc and was fixed already, as shown in this url where I found the solution: http://sources.redhat.com/ml/libc-alpha/2011-12/msg00091.html With this patch I can successfully build virtualbox using kbuild. Patch for ebuild to include previous patch
Here's a patch for the ebuild for convenience.
attached patch solved this issue for me. I believe bug 390247 should be added as a blocker for clarity. +*kbuild-0.1.9998_pre20110817-r1 (20 Jun 2012) + + 20 Jun 2012; Justin Lecher <jlec@gentoo.org> + +kbuild-0.1.9998_pre20110817-r1.ebuild, + +files/kbuild-0.1.9998_pre20110817-gcc-4.7.patch, metadata.xml: + Fix for gcc-4.7, #419705; thanks Brennan Shacklett for the patch + |
