Description Nigel Rantor 2002-06-26 09:36:26 UTC
Perforce is available for lots (*lots*) of systems including Linux.

Be nice to have an ebuild of it.

Care to make one?

Nigel?

Eep. Tried to e-mail you directly, bounced back to me finally.

Yeah, I would like too. I have two problems at the moment though.

Firstly I haven't mucked about with ebuilds and will be tinkering muchly before
I am happy. Secondly my home machine is currently wailing because my ADSL is not
 available at present.

Any good sources of docs for people out to make their first ebuild?

(Just stepping in with a quick URL...)

http://www.gentoo.org/doc/gentoo-howto.html

For most somewhat straightforward builds this is all you'll need. If you need to
do some sed work etc might be best to look through some other .ebuild files for
some inspiration.

Nigel, I'm marking this "LATER" if/when you come up with an ebuild, please
reopen it
Comment 6 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-10-23 04:28:43 UTC
seems rather pointless as the freeware version is a limited time evaluation
thing. I'm not sure it's worth it. Anyone wanting to ebuild it would be better
off putting it in their local PORTDIR_OVERLAY repository.
