Now it emerged without any problem. I don't know what changed it exactly. There were small changes in this ebuild and in autotools.eclass.

The changes I talked about happened in the tree. I didn't change anything on local side.

what versions of automake do you have installed ?

make sure your tree is synced, and run `emerge --debug docbook2X >& log`, then post that log as an attachment
