I use x0rfbserver on the gentoo side so I can run win2vnc on the windows side to simulate a dual-head setup. I have been doing this for a while and with other distrobutions I never had this problem. The version in use on Gentoo is recognizing < as >. This makes using x0rfbserver a bit of a pain for developers.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start x0rfbserver on Gentoo
2. Connect using win2vnc on Windows
3. Move your mouse from the Windows side to the Linux side and open a shell.
4. Hit the < key.

Actual Results:  
Displays '>'.

Expected Results:  
Display '<'.

to be honest, it seems like a fix will require a bit of X knowledge ... i personally have never written anything that utilizes X so it kind of leaves at a stand still ;)

possible alternatives you may want to check our are gemsvnc or x11vnc (part of libvncserver) ...

unless someone could help me out (like with a patch), theres not much i can do about the problem, i apologize
