And it seems like openssh-6.0 is causing backuppc to hang when XferMethod rsync is used:

will open separate bug for this hanging if someone else will confirm it on backuppc-users ML..

This will have been addressed by the stabilisation of BackupPC 3.3.0; which we left rather late. My apologies for that.
