bug 412153 is similar but gives a different options. econf choking was the issue there according to the commenter This is caused by the fact that empathy has two configure scripts, configure and telepathy-yell/configure; the main configure script calls telepathy-yell/configure, and telepathy-yell/configure complains because it doesn't understand some of the main configure script's command-line options. Therefore, the warning is spurious and can be safely ignored. If you think that the issue is worth fixing, please talk directly to empathy's upstream developers: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=empathy (if you do file a bug in the gnome bugzilla, please add gnome@gentoo.org to the bug's CC list so that we can keep track of it). Anyway, in gnome 3.4, telepathy-yell is dead |
