Could you post some of these errors you are seeing? Start the commands in a shell and capture the output (from smplayer, mplayer, lsdvd and so so). The MPlayer itself also related by this issue. media-libs/libdvdread seems to be the child project of MPLayer. I've failed to find its on bugzilla. So reported in MPLayer's one. This is old, I know, but let me know if it's still an issue and I can track it down. I like to collect broken DVD samples. :) |
