The following options in ~/.config/Google/GoogleEarthPlus.conf suggested during the emerge did not resolve the issue: lastTip = 4 enableTips = false My grpahics driver settings: eselect mesa list 64bit i915 (Intel 915, 945) 64bit i965 (Intel 965, G/Q3x, G/Q4x) 64bit r300 (Radeon R300-R500) [1] gallium * 64bit r600 (Radeon R600-R700, Evergreen, Northern Islands) [1] gallium * 64bit sw (Software renderer) [1] classic [2] gallium * 32bit i915 (Intel 915, 945) [1] classic * [2] gallium 32bit i965 (Intel 965, G/Q3x, G/Q4x) [1] classic * 32bit r300 (Radeon R300-R500) [1] classic [2] gallium * 32bit r600 (Radeon R600-R700, Evergreen, Northern Islands) [1] classic [2] gallium * 32bit sw (Software renderer) [1] classic [2] gallium * I have the same crash. Fixed it by removing ~/.drirc I just received the same error: bill@laptop ~/.googleearth/crashlogs $ cat crashlog-50d600f8.txt Major Version 6 Minor Version 0 Build Number 0003 Build Date May 17 2011 Build Time 00:40:40 OS Type 3 OS Major Version 3 OS Minor Version 6 OS Build Version 11 OS Patch Version 0 Crash Signal 11 Crash Time 1356202232 Up Time 0.545988 The rest of the message was similar to rainer's. Removing ~/.drirc as Sergey 'L29Ah' Alirzaev did solved it.
