Description legalmate 2012-05-04 05:47:58 UTC
Running rtlwifi driver in AP mode would generate SW-IOMMU errors after some time (minutes to hours depending on number of beacon received). This would cause the driver to stop responding. The patch to fix this have been accepted upstream and scheduled to be included in v3.4-rc3 (see URL). This seems to effect all pre 3.4-rc3 kernel since the driver introduction in 2.6.38. Not sure if this is a candidate for inclusion into genpatches. If not please close this ticket.

Reproducible: Always

I can include this is 3.3 if you like. Does it apply cleanly? Have you tested it on any previous kernels? What kernels would you like to see it in?

Can you post the link on Linus' tree to the patch?
