Disable HDMI monitor check in i915/intel_sdvo.c

Hello,

When using the HDMI output with the i915 driver on kernels 3.2.1-r2, 3.2.12 and 3.3.2, I get two pink columns at the left of the screen and the monitor complains about the resolution. It happens on KMS framebuffer and Xorg, but only with the HDMI output. The VGA output works as expected.

I can't say that it is a regression, as I installed my gentoo one month ago.

The problem described here looks like https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=27452 but on the i915 driver instead of the radeon one. Please note that my monitor does not support the audio, and the driver detect the basic audio support.

I did some investigations on the driver and I did a change that add some bug traces and another one that correct the issue on my platform. Please see the patch in attachment.

Please feel free to ask for more information if needed.

Best regards,
Julien.

Seems that is fixed, are you (Julien) still experiencing this on recent versions?
