The ebuild for "hplip" installs this file:
/usr/share/hal/fdi/preprobe/10osvendor/20-hplip-devices.fdi
but it's no more required because HAL does not exists anymore. So it should be dropped.

It's a harmless file and already fixed in later versions,

hplip-3.12.2-r2.ebuild:	# Remove hal fdi files
hplip-3.12.2-r2.ebuild:	rm -rf "${D}"/usr/share/hal || die
hplip-3.12.4.ebuild:	# Remove hal fdi files
hplip-3.12.4.ebuild:	rm -rf "${D}"/usr/share/hal || die

Thanks for reporting, but not worth to do anything here as next stabilization will autoresolve this bug
