Created attachment 309727 [details, diff] Fix cross-compiling issue mesa build builtin_compiler and run it while compiling. It won't work in cross-compiling due to it file is not a native executable.

Let the upstream fix it is the best solution. But, I don't know when will they accept it.

I'm okay with an ebuild hack to make this work if it'll help people, because this bug has been known upstream for a while. See https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44618 with a patch.

Thanks. I am porting Gentoo on to Freescale i.MX53. There are bunch of packages have this kind of issue. Currently, I am maintaining my own overlay, it's tiring to sync with official tree. If you accept this kind of hack, I can keep helping to resolve this kind of issues. It is not only help ARM user, but make Gentoo more cross-platform friendly.
