Isn't that something which should rather be fixed upstream? Let the upstream fix it is the best solution. But, I don't know when will they accept it. Can you provide the link to an upstream bug report or mailing list discussion about this issue? I am not report to update yet. I am not report to the upstream yet. I'm okay with an ebuild hack to make this work if it'll help people, because this bug has been known upstream for a while. See https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44618 with a patch. Thanks. I am porting Gentoo on to Freescale i.MX53. There are bunch of packages have this kind of issue. Currently, I am maintaining my own overlay, it's tiring to sync with official tree. If you accept this kind of hack, I can keep helping to resolve this kind of issues. It is not only help ARM user, but make Gentoo more cross-platform friendly. 9.1 has cross compiling support. Marking as fixed. |
Created attachment 309727 [details, diff] Fix cross-compiling issue mesa build builtin_compiler and run it while compiling. It won't work in cross-compiling due to it file is not a native executable.
