Doesn't look too hard to revert the dropping, I can do it myself (and maintain that part of course)

Upstream don't want to support gnome-panel-2 (neither mate-panel) anymore, maybe we should simply stick with 0.1.8.32 for stable tree :-/

This is an upstream decision and, then, will keep 0.1.8.x for stable, not being able to stabilize 0.1.9 versions until gnome3 hits stable :|
