You might need ruby with USE=threads Anyway, we don't support gem install * installations. (In reply to comment #1) > You might need ruby with USE=threads > > Anyway, we don't support gem install * installations. Thanks for the suggestion, but there is no USE=threads for ruby 1.9 (the one I am trying to install ruby-debug19), I even tied it for ruby 1.8, and still not working. I need 'ruby-debug' to debug my program, if gem install * doesn't working, and I also tried install 'dev-ruby/ruby-debug', and I still got: cannot load such file -- ruby-debug (LoadError) /usr/lib64/ruby/site_ruby/1.9.1/rubygems/custom_require.rb:55:in `require' /usr/lib64/ruby/site_ruby/1.9.1/rubygems/custom_require.rb:55:in `require' I also tried 'ruby-threads', but not sure howto install one for ruby19, for some reason, it will try to install one for ree18? Got ruby-threads installed for ruby19, still no working. Looks like I have to compile Ruby myself to install ruby-debug for ruby1.9? You should file bugs with the individual projects if you are installing directly from gems. |
