1) Yes.
2) Please attach the entire build log to this bug report.

I suppose it could be actually this small since it's just a binary but this is the log. (/me shrugs)

The other log is shorter and looks to be intended for elogv display. Of course it shouldn't be difficult to emerge and check that on your end
