There is no problem compiling vmware with 2.6.x kernels. I had snafu'ed on the kernel-blat naming convention and the vmlinuz- naming convention generated by 'make install'. So I was actually running a different kernel than the source configuration in /usr/src. I don't know if it is possible to zap a bug report, but this one deserves to be zapped. |
