Description Lee Trager 2012-04-01 11:19:55 UTC
After I upgraded to xorg-server-1.12.0(-r1) I noticed that my mouse was acting really weird when in wine games. I did some digging and it appears to be a problem with xorg-server. Upstream has created a patch and will be applying it to the next release. In the maintime it would be great to include it now in Gentoo.

Discussion and patch can be found at http://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/9595/

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade to xorg-server-1.12.0
2. Restart X
3. Try to play a game in wine such as Skyrim

I forgot to mention, yes I've tested and confirmed this patch fixes the issue for me.

Should be fixed by x11-base/xorg-server-1.12.1; please reopen if that is not the case.

I'm not sure this is fixed.

I'm using xorg-server-1.13.0-r1 and am having the same issue. A prior xorg-server was doing fine (not sure which, though).

When I run the program provided in https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46976#c4 I get different values for raw and valuator.

What you are seeing could be a different bug, so opening a new bug report is probably best.
