Well, it is not a stable release but I guess it is better than nothing new emesene stable version is 2.12.3... https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410543 This version is not stable because the new version have been fixed major bug critical. (In reply to comment #3) > This version is not stable because the new version have been fixed major bug > critical. What "major bug critical"? It works ok here (and current stable doesn't even connect for some days) archtester passepartout # emerge emesene
>>> Emerging (7 of 7) net-im/emesene-2.12.1
>>> Installing (7 of 7) net-im/emesene-2.12.1
grief;
archtester passepartout # USE=jabber emerge =net-im/emesene-2.12.1
------------------------------------------------------
[ebuild R ~] net-im/emesene-2.12.1 USE="jabber*"
The following keyword changes are necessary to proceed:
#required by net-im/emesene-2.12.1[jabber], required by emesene (argument)
=dev-python/xmpppy-0.5.0_rc1 ~amd64

It works ok here (and current stable doesn't even > connect for some days) There are some bugfixes regarding the connection to Facebook and sending files not to mention the dozens of fixes made to the GTK + libraries and protocol papayon and fix the plugin and many, many other things ... (I know the details since I'm a bug reporter for a long time now, and for that I would) But you must compare bug fixes with current stable version, and this one also includes tons of fixes over emesene-1 (it won't prevent newer emesene stabilization once it's added to the tree and around 30 days pass as usually done) x86 stable amd64 stable. Last arch, closing. |
