Could not confirm for networkmanagement-0.9.0 with LINGUAS="pl" on amd64. Looking at the ebuild and associated eclasses, the error is coming from the line [[ -d ${handbookdir} ]] || die 'wrong doc dir specified'. I'm guessing that this means that it can't find /usr/share/doc/HTML/pl/. Can you confirm that that dir doesn't exist on your machine?
Comment 2 grito 2012-03-30 00:58:50 UTC
I have /usr/share/doc/HTML/pl
Comment 3 Ian Delaney (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-04-06 07:00:23 UTC
never mind about the dir /usr/share/doc/HTML/pl on the machine.  This is occurring it appears at either the last step of prepare or during configure.  However;

archtester networkmanagement # LINGUAS="pl" ebuild networkmanagement-0.9.0.ebuild clean prepare

>>> Enabling languages:  pl
>>> Source prepared.

archtester networkmanagement # LINGUAS="pl" ebuild networkmanagement-0.9.0.ebuild configure
-------------------------------
-- Build files have been written to: /mnt/gen2/tmpdir/portage/kde-misc/networkmanagement-0.9.0/work/networkmanagement-0.9.0_build
>>> Source configured.

That makes 2 'failed' attempts to replicate the 'error'. This makes the likelihood of it being a bug about 1%.

archtester networkmanagement # find /mnt/gen2/TmpDir/portage/kde-misc/networkmanagement-0.9.0/work/networkmanagement-0.9.0 -name pl

/mnt/gen2/TmpDir/portage/kde-misc/networkmanagement-0.9.0/work/networkmanagement-0.9.0/po/pl

says the pl folder in the source is sitting there waiting to rip.
No idea what you have done
Comment 4 Johannes Huber (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-04-16 20:48:37 UTC
Works for me too. If the problem still persits for you, please try newest kde-misc/networkmanagement and provide a full build log.

Try to look into your /var/tmp/portage/kde-misc/networkmanagement/ for eclass-debug.log

Could you please attach the environment file? (/var/tmp/portage/kde-misc/networkmanagement-0.9.0.1/temp/environment)

I suspect you may have KDE_HANDBOOK in your environment. Please re-open when you are able to attach this file.
