Description Mario Vazquez 2004-02-09 13:46:37 UTC
Neither there is no scsi boot option to force scsi device recognition, nor the devices are configured automatically which makes an installation on a scsi only machine very difficult. That was tested with some livecd's

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot the iso on a SCSI only computer.
2. Choose any kernel option you want (gentoo, experimental)

Actual Results:
Boot process stops since no scsi devices (cdrom, hds) are available.

Expected Results:
Boot process should complete without problems.

20040206 iso tested on a Dell PowerEdge 4300, which has an Adaptec 7880U controller.

Did you boot with "kernelname doscsi"? (Hit F2 to see the various options).
Comment 2 Mario Vazquez 2004-03-09 11:26:13 UTC
option was not available under 2004.0 test isos (when the bug was submited), but is back in 2004.0 final iso. So I will close the bug as fixed.
