Description Balint Dobai-Pataky 2012-03-20 10:04:04 UTC
Gnome3 depends on gdm newer than 2.20.11-r1, with which I'm currently stuck as I run a multiseat environment.
While there is an upstream gdm branch supporting multiseat http://git.gnome.org/browse/gdm/log/?h=wip/multi-seat I can't patch current gdm-3.2* with it by lack of knowledge.
Would it be possible for an experienced Gentoo dev to prepare a patch for an up to date gdm in the tree, so users could benefit from it, perhaps using a multiseat use flag?

Thanks

I'm sorry, but as you may have guessed by the lack of feedback, this is not really something we can handle unless a dev actually have this setup in use.

If you are still interested in this, I suggest you poke upstream about providing and updated branch for multiseat on 3.6 (since it was just released), then we might be able to integrate it but frankly, unless it is merged in master, there is little chance that we have time to support it.
