1) Please post your `emerge --info' output in a comment. 2) Please attach the entire app-mobilephone/obex-data-server build log to this bug report. The important section from my emerge --info is in the CFLAGS line CFLAGS "-march=pentium-m -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" The line that causes the bug in build is i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc: -pg and -fomit-frame-pointer are incompatible i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc --version i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc (Gentoo 4.5.3-r2 p1.1, pie-0.4.7) 4.5.3 Copyright (C) 2010 Free Software Foundation, Inc. This is free software; see the source for copying conditions. There is NO warranty; not even for MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Here is my complete emerge --info http://pastebin.com/24V84d2X Here is my complete log http://pastebin.com/9FueR75D Now, I want to let you know, I took out the "debug" USE flag, and it started building, and the package's local Makefile did NOT add neither -g nor -pg to the local CFLAGS while honouring the global -fomit-frame-pointer All other packages I have built have compiled fine except this one with the "debug" USE.
