FYI, I had no problems building app-emulation/qemu-user-1.0 over here. Sidenotes: - You don't mention the version of qemu-user you're trying to build. - A build failure does not often equal a documentation bug. @embedded team, this is something you are managing I believe The fact is that the handbook does not explain that unstable versions are required. The current stable is 0.9.0 I believe and this is the one that fails. A simple Google search shows that the build failure is cross distro and not Gentoo specific, but the handbook should work round this by stating which version to use ie unstable/specific version. the stable version of qemu is sane now. i'm not sure the handbook ever needed these notes. i have updated the documentation to refer to the new "qemu" package rather than "qemu-user": http://sources.gentoo.org/gentoo/xml/htdocs/proj/en/base/embedded/handbook/index.xml?r1=1.21&r2=1.22 http://sources.gentoo.org/gentoo/xml/htdocs/proj/en/base/embedded/handbook/cross-qemu.xml?r1=1.6&r2=1.7 |
