Description michael@smith-li.com 2004-02-07 22:21:46 UTC
emerge -f =xfree-4.2.1-r2 is not available for download, but it's still in Portage.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge -f =xfree-4.2.1-r2
2. All the files until emerge -f XFree86-4.2.1-files-0.1.tar.bz2 should download from your selected mirrors.
3. XFree86-4.2.1-files-0.1.tar.bz2 will generate "file not found" errors for all mirrors.

Actual Results:
I had to ctrl-c the 4.2.1 fetch/install of XFree86-4.2.1-r2.

Expected Results:
Probably 4.2.1 should not be in portage anymore.

silverpower at #gentoo complains that 4.3.0 doesn't support his hardware, hence
the bug...
"Diamond Stealth Video 2500, uses a Alliance ProMotion AT24 chipset, and 1MB of
RAM."

The file is missing from the mirror network... The XFree team will have to put it up. Re-assigning the bug to them..
Comment 2 Donnie Berkholz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-02-08 11:20:13 UTC
Andrew you need to put it up again, I don't have a copy.
Comment 3 Andrew Bevitt 2004-02-08 20:26:01 UTC
OK just re-submitted the file to the mirrors should be out in around 30mins to an hour, depending on mirror sync times etc...

Michael can you please close the bug once the file is accessable

Looks good. I fetched the rest of xfree-4.2.1 this morning.
Comment 5 michael@smith-li.com 2004-02-09 07:51:31 UTC
Umm: does marking it as fixed close a bug? Apparently not. Closing it :-}
Comment 6 Donnie Berkholz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-02-09 13:36:18 UTC
We don't particularly care, resolved is as good as closed for me. =)

Thanks.
