Looks like there is an automagic dependency on media-libs/mesa[video_cards_vmware], which also triggers the failing AC_CONFIG_FILES call. A closer look reveals that the build failure happens only if mesa was built with --enable-xa which is not done by any ebuild in portage or the x11 overlay. I have a /usr/local/portage overlay with a modified mesa ebuild that has --enable-xa turned on so I can get vmwgfx 3D acceleration with xf86-video-vmware. Thanks for investigating! Fixed in 12.0.1 |
