Gstreamer 0.7.4 released. Rythmbox 0.70 depends already on it. API is different from the 0.6 series, but it can installed alongside. Maybe it is a good idea to create slots for them or inform the user that he has to recompile all gstreamer apps.

Just rename the 0.6.x ebuild to 0.7.4 and it works.

Rhythmbox 0.7 is development release, akin to gnome 2.5,  and gstreamer 0.7 is development as well.  This should -not- go into the tree as is.

Gstreamer will soonish transpose into 0.8 and will resume api frozenness then, When its good to put it into the tree.

why the hell does this go to sound ?

@ bugwrangler, the gstreamer metadata doesn't even mention the sound herd.
