*** Bug 40594 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** bug 35674 proposes splitting the jack pcm plugin out of alsa-lib, which would technically solve it w/ the appropriate deps updated. I think a more generic solution to circular dependencies is needed. This isn't the only one at the moment, and more are going to turn up in the future. This has to become a general issue for portage developers. *** Bug 41244 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 41244 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 35674 *** Surely we can patch jack to come with the headers required from alsalib (or vice-versa).. Ultimately, I would say that this is an error on the part of the alsa developers.. alsa sits below jack, and any utilisation of jack should be in a seperate package? I doubt that the code itself contains a circular dependency. bah.. I dunno :-) see media-plugins/alsa-jack |
