Description DC 2004-02-06 03:09:06 UTC
Attached is a new ebuild for Htp, an HTML preprocessor. It's a tool for building websites from templates. From author's description:

"Htp was intended as a HTML pre-processor. It is able to preprocess HTML, XHTML, XML and CSS files (htp could process any text based files). Its purpose is to assist you to maintain a consistent "look" over an entire set of web pages. This is done by allowing you to define your own tags as abbreviations for sets of standard HTML tags."

Package: dev-util/htp

I've committed your ebuild; it should appear on an rsync mirror near you
in about an hour. Could you test it please, and let me know whether it
works for you?

Thanks,
Stu

Thanks! I noticed one small problem though: in the ebuild that was committed, a space was remove from the end of the line "StreamPrintF(task->outfile, " which confused patch, making it fail. (It took me a while to notice this difference between the ebuild I submitted and the ebuild that was committed).

This is partially my fault; I should have made the ebuild more robust. If we use "patch -l" instead of just "patch", then patch will know to ignore whitespace, and then the ebuild works great.

BTW, why did you choose to put this ebuild in dev-util? Since it's an HTML processor, I had thought that it belonged in app-text.

Thanks,
DC

You're right - it does belong in app-text. Sorry about that. I've moved it.

Trailing whitespace falls foul of our QA tools. I've added the -l switch to patch to deal with this.

Best regards,
Stu
