It failed as well. Different local but not work posting a bug as it was masked for known issues. And the only reason it's not keyworded yet is bug 394805 (as in, no reason, nobody just tested it yet) Created attachment 302979 [details]

I updated this ticket with the build details for version 20120213 (In reply to comment #9) > We still need the build.log from the newer mplayer since the older is not > getting fixed anymore. > > And the only reason it's not keyworded yet is bug 394805 (as in, no reason, > nobody just tested it yet) you get this error because you are using ffmpeg-9999. try with ffmpeg-0.10 Ok, i was able to succesffully build with the following. added line in: /etc/protage/package.accept_keywords <media-video/mplayer-9999 ** installed with command line: ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~ppc" emerge -av =mplayer-1.0_rc4_p20120213 I recommend unmasking mplayer package for the ppc. (In reply to comment #15) > you get this error because you are using ffmpeg-9999. try with ffmpeg-0.10 I'm up and running now, should i close this ticket as obsolete or is there action that needs to be taken to apply the appropriate keywords to the package atom? (In reply to comment #15) > you get this error because you are using ffmpeg-9999. try with ffmpeg-0.10 Running ffmpeg 9999, it fails with the same error. dE, please note that using ffmpeg 9999 was the cause of the issue. The solution was, for me, to accept keywords of ** for any package "LESS THAN" 9999. /etc/portage/package.accept_keywords: <media-video/mplayer-9999 ** (In reply to comment #18) > Running ffmpeg 9999, it fails with the same error. (In reply to comment #15) > you get this error because you are using ffmpeg-9999. try with ffmpeg-0.10 closing as invalid, ffmpeg-9999 isnt supported unless you want to submit patches mplayer is far from being the only one that will fail like this -9999 is fixed though. |
Created attachment 302937 [details] Build log While building mplayer, I encountered a build error. My system was up to date as of Feb-21. My system has very little installed. X, synergy, awesome, alsa, and deps. mplayer version: 1.0_rc4_p20110322 Error: ppc/fft_altivec_s.S: Assembler messages: ppc/fft_altivec_s.S:447: Error: junk at end of line, first unrecognized character is `@' ppc/fft_altivec_s.S:448: Error: junk at end of line, first unrecognized character is `@' The one thing i didn't see in the output of the included flies is my system profile. It is a ppc64-32ul. I have included the build log, the environment dump in the build temp directory, the output of emerge --info <package> and the output of emerge -pqv <package>
