Sorry, but we are unable to fix this until they make the change from GnomeVFS to GIO. Thanks. I've built Firefox 9.0 and all works. The issue (without wishing to put words in Mozilla's metaphorical mouth) is basically that Mozilla doesn't want to bump the GTK+/Glib versions so that the pre-built binaries will still support distros with older packages in the repos. (An example would be CentOS/RHEL 5.x) I've installed gnome-vfs manually with firefox-bin, but it seems useless. Is it possible to run pre-built firefox with packages we can install from portages? |
