Please version bump this pkg so as to not have the unsupported inter-revision
versioning.

This is blocking development of pkgcore to fully support a prefix environment
and produces a failure:

Sorry, A newer version doesn't exist in gentoo-x86. If the perl team wants to creat a -r1 in gx86 that is fine, but it is not the prefix team's agenda/desire to push this.
